2026 Community Partnership Clean-up dates

Lab members contribute their time and efforts on Sunday, March 1st to assist with the Florida Wildlife Hospital (FWH) pond clean-up

We will be helping remove debris and invasive plants.
Volunteers are asked to wear appropriate clothing: including sturdy gloves, boots/closed toed shoes, etc.
All necessary safety guidelines will be observed to ensure a successful and safe event.

Parking – open gate and park on property.

LAB’s Fall event was enjoyed by attendees on Saturday, October 4th

Our program, Building a Banned Book Library, was held at the Unitarian Universalist Friendship Fellowship Center Coffee House at 3115 Friendship Place in Rockledge, Florida.

 

The Banned Book Library at UUFF Coffee House is open Saturdays 12-3 PM.
Books are FREE for students 18 and under.

LAB & NAACP Community Clean-Up

2025 LAB Summer Banquet

There were 24 people in attendance for the Annual Summer Banquet held on June 26, 2025.
A shout-out to John Curri for his generous donation of children’s’ books that were made available to all in attendance.
Door prize winners included Ruth McFarland (Barnes & Noble gift card),
Sam Kosatis (potted orchid in bloom), and
Courtney Wilson (A Century of Fiction in The New Yorker 1925-2025).
